The Justice League provides progressive solutions to “age-old” systemic problems using restorative practices and innovative workforce initiatives.
PROGRAM 1
Re-Entry Mediation
Re-Entry Mediations provides intensive weekly therapeutic services specializing in EMDR, complex trauma, and substance use for medium/maximum felony inmates one year prior to release date.
PROJECTED OUTCOMES FOR RE-ENTRY MEDIATION:
Retain 60%- 75% of program participants until date of release
A reduced recidivism rate of less than 20%-30%
PROGRAM 2
Incubators & Inmates
Incubators & Inmates is a workforce initiative that increases marketable skills and employability of felony offenders. The program will provide specialized incubators in the following areas:
- Political education
- Financial literacy
- Technology
- Investment
- Real estate and business “start-up”
PROJECTED OUTCOMES FOR INCUBATORS & INMATES
Enhanced employability and/or marketable skills measured through pre/post assessments.
Completion of incubator assignments within allotted time frames as designated by Incubator Program Facilitator.
Multiple research studies affirm that economic opportunity and development as
being powerful deterrents to crime. “Honingin-on” skills, abilities and “tapping-into” hidden potential.
Legislative Policy
The Policy Division of The Justice League, Inc. will form mutually beneficial partnerships with local, state and national officials, the region’s largest employers and variou organizations to address racial economic disparities and inequities within the labor market legislatively, in a collective effort to ultimately strengthen Kentucky’s economy.
